A GLSA SUPPORTER
Greece 11.08.2023. The Greek Lifesaving Sports
Association proudly announces the appointment of the world lifesaving champion
and IOC Young Leader, Nicolò Di Tullio from Italy as a GLSA
Supporter.
Nicolò is a PhD Candidate in Management - Sustainability, Innovation,
Healthcare at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. He is International
Olympic Committee Young Leader, in the frame of the programme he is developing
his social business (www.Got-To.eu) to tackle climate change
through sport. He is Surf Lifesaving Sport World and Europe Cup Champion and
multiple times national champion for surf lifesaving and paddle boarding. He
served as sustainability manager for The Ocean Race Genova The Grand Finale
2022-23. He is collaborating with sport organizations and scholastic or
academic institutions regarding natural and sport sciences. Passionate about
learning and sharing, with a special interest about the social impact of
science and technology on society. His goal is to inspire to excel, love and
enjoy. A childhood attraction for the ocean and a career as athlete in surf
lifesaving sport and surfing/paddle boarding, evolved in a broad competence
about marine sciences.
Nicolò Di Tullio said about his
appointment: "I became
a supporter of the Greek Lifesaving Association (GLSA) for 4 reasons: First, to
promote safety; Being actively involved as a GLSA ambassador would allow me to
contribute to water safety promotion and the saving of human lives. Second
for to make a social impact; my involvement can help shaping a generation of
water safety-conscious individuals, thus contributing to preventing accidents
and tragedies. Third, to network and collaborate; by collaborating with GLSA, I
would have the chance to connect with professionals and volunteers engaged in
the field of rescue and water safety. These contacts could lead to future
collaborations, learning opportunities, and personal growth. Lastly, for personal
fulfillment; contributing to such a noble and vital cause can bring deep
personal satisfaction. Knowing that you've contributed to saving lives and
preventing accidents can be incredibly rewarding and enriching.”

month, respected individuals and organizations from all over the world align
themselves with our passion and vision as members and supporters. Nicolò is one of our greats! He has taught us a lot about
persistence, sacrifice and has raised lifesaving sport at the highest level. We

sport lifesaver whose reputation travels way ahead of himself and his limit
seems to be the sky both academically, professionally and athletically."
The Greek Lifesaving Sports Association is a non-profit organization and the only licensed organization by the Ministry of Sports - General Secretariat of Sports to operate lifesaving sport as sport recreation in Greece. It has Supporters, Honorary, Individual and Clubs Members in 27 countries.
