The International Swimming Hall of Fame is the world’s repository of aquatic history. It promotes aquatics and honors the greatest personalities of the world in swimming and water safety.
On November 23, 2022, an interview took place between 3 ISHOF representatives,
Dr. Bill Kent (Chairman), Anne Schmidt (CEO) and Mike Dooley (Board Member) and
Dr. Avramidis. Stathis answered crucial questions about his role and expertise and
proposed ideas for the evolution of the “Every Child A Swimmer” mission, the
resurrection of the ISHOF Film Festival and the Esther Awards, and the
promotion through various means (e-magazine “Sport Lifesaver”, other publications
and events). The spirit of the conversation was friendly and blended with
humor. Brainstorming about the future of ISHOF was rich in ideas.
