Launched
on 14th December 2012, the primary objective of the Princess Charlene of MonacoFoundation is to save lives by fighting against drowning. Its missions are to
raise public awareness about the dangers of water, teach children preventive
measures, and teach them to swim. A number of “Learn to Swim” and “Water
Safety” programmes have been implemented worldwide in order to fight against
this scourge. The “Sport & Education” programme uses sport as a tool to
contribute to the well-being and development of children. The PCMF endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.
The International Life Saving Federation of Europe (ILSE) is the
European branch of ILS. The
International Life Saving Federation (ILS) is the world’s non-profit
association of aquatic Lifesavers and aquatic Lifesaving organizations. ILSE is an umbrella organisation, representing
federations working in the field of Water Safety in Europe. Our members
are representing more than 5 million Lifesavers and Lifeguards all over
Europe. If you need specific information about Lifesaving in a
particular nation, please contact our members or refer to the relevant
website. Through our own work and that of our Member Federations, we lead the
global effort to reduce injury and death in, on, or around the water. We
aid in the global exchange of lifesaving information, promote the best
lifesaving practices, help establish lifesaving organizations in areas
of Europe where they are needed, act as the European Federation for
lifesaving sport, and work with other international bodies with similar
goals. The Greek Lifesaving Sports Association is a Corresponding Member of ILSE.
The International Lifesaving Federation (ILS) is the world authority
for drowning prevention, lifesaving and lifesaving sport. The ILS leads,
supports and collaborates with national and international organisations
engaged in drowning prevention, water safety, water rescue, lifesaving,
lifeguarding and lifesaving sport. Its vision is a world free from drowning. It is composed of national aquatic lifesaving organisations (Member Federations) from around the world. Through its own work and that of its Member Federations, ILS leads the global effort to reduce injury and death in, on, or around the water. It accomplishes this by assisting existing national lifesaving
organisations; facilitating and developing a global exchange of drowning
prevention and lifesaving information and of best lifesaving practices;
helping establish lifesaving organisations in areas of the world where
they are needed, but do not exist; acting as the International
Federation for lifesaving sport; and cooperating with other
international bodies with shared goals. The Greek Lifesaving Sports Association is a Corresponding Member of ILSE.
The Mediterranean Lifesaving Confederation (MLC) is the international authority that is responsible to operate lifesaving sport within the Medeterrenean region. It is a very important organization because it connects 3 continents around the Mediterreanean see where many drowning incidents take place. The Greek Lifesaving Sports Association is the MLC Full Member for Greece.
The International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF)
museum was founded in December of 1968 in Fort
Lauderdale, Florida. That same year, the Fédération Internationale de
Natation (FINA) - the governing body for Olympic aquatic sports –
designated the ISHOF museum as the "Official Repository for Aquatic
History". In 2018, Sports Publications Inc, publisher of Swimming
World Magazine and its multi-media platforms, merged with ISHOF to
expand the museum’s reach and impact. Today, ISHOF's vision is to be
the global focal point for recording and sharing the history of
aquatics, promoting swimming as an essential life-skill, and developing
educational programs and events related to water sports.
Its mission is to collaborate with aquatic organizations worldwide to preserve, educate
and celebrate the history of aquatic sports while promoting Every Child A
Swimmer. The ISHOF endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.
The Lifesaving Network is an umbrella of European organizations that strive to reduce aquatic related injuries through water safety and lifesaving sport activities. The network undertakes several educational and awareness initiatives in Greece, Slovenia, Poland, Serbia, Bulgaria and Turkey. It is co-funded by the European Union. The Greek Lifesaving Sports Association, represents Greece in this alliance.
With more than 1,020,000 members worldwide, the International Federation of Swimming Teachers' Association (IFSTA) is a significant international swimming body dedicated to reducing death by drowning. Its objective is to promote internationally, the highest standards in the teaching of swimming and other survival techniques. Set up by STA to provide a platform for independent swimming bodies to share and disseminate the principles of best practice, IFSTA’s members now train 830,000 swimmers each year through a global network of more than 37,000 swimming teachers, instructors and examiners. IFSTA is also partnered with the International Lifesaving Federation (ILS). Together, as the world’s two major authorities in lifesaving and swimming, they lead the global effort to reduce injury and death in, on, or around the water. The IFSTA endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.

Matter (MMM) is comprised of passionate, dedicated individuals who embody the
knowledge and efforts of thousands of people worldwide who are working together
to end the hidden epidemic of drowning. We are devoted to improving and saving
lives by bringing our collective knowledge to the world. Our team respects the
nature of water and balances the joy, respite and power it provides against its
somber ability to cause destruction and death. The MMM endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.
The
British Universities Life Saving Clubs' Association (BULSCA) acts as the
governing body for, and oversees competitive lifesaving between,
university clubs. It organizes the annual lifesaving sport championship that includes speed and lifesaving events as well as simulated emergency rescue competitions. The BUSLCA endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.
The Hellenic Swimming Federation was founded in 1927. It is responsible for 5 olympic sports (competitive swimming, water polo, artistic swimming, open water swimming, diving) and fin swimming. It is a member of the European Federation (LEN), the World Federation (FINA) and CMAS. The HSF endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.
The Hellenic Navy Seals Association was founded as sport club in 1992 and represents thousands of navy seals in Greece, that fullfilled their training and received the rank of underwater seal, current, temporary and retired.The HNSA endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.
The Hellenic Olympians Association was founded in 1987 based on a world leading inspiration of Georgios Vichos, who was also its first President. He was later succeeded in his position by Georgios Zaimis, Dimitris Skourtis and Georgios Andreadis. In 1993 the idea was embraced by International Olympic Committee, which established the World Olympians Association based in Lausanne. Nowadays, the WOA counts as its members 128 National Foundations, functions under the auspices of the IOC, is the official Association of Olympians worldwide. The HOA endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.
The HellenicOlympic Winners Association promote sports, culture, health and education. The
care about the growth and spreading of the Olympic Spirit, the preservation of
the humanitarian values of Olympism through the implementation of various
activities. It collaborates with every sporting force of the country and
implements various activities in the areas of sport recreation, education,
amateur sport, rehabilitation of vulnerable populations and inclusion of people
with disabilities. The HOWA endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.

The Hellenic Water Polo Coaches Association (HWPCA) was founded with the following goals. To support its memebers with scientific and technical education. To protect and promote its members rights and the coaching profession. To develop solidarity and brotherhood among coaches. To promote the sport of water polo. The HWPCA endorses the Annual Lifesaving Sport Championships of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association.
