2024 AGM of the Lifesaving Foundation
Ireland 21.02.2024. The Lifesaving Foundation held its Annual General Meeting with Board Members from 7 countries, discussing current issues on drowning prevention and rescue.
The Board Members that attended were: John Connolly and Brendan Donohoe (Ireland), Stathis Avramidis (Greece), Luis Miguel Pascal Gomez (Spain), John Long, Andrea Andrews and Janet Wilson (UK), Prof. Emeritus Robert Stallman (Norway), Prof. Emeritus Steve Langendorfer (USA), Dr Shayne Baker OAM (Australia).
The Board discussed about the finances of the foundation, overviewed report activities of various members including the International Experts Symposium on Lifesaving as Olympic Sport that was held in Greece by the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association, allocated new positions to the board, discussed scholarly activities on suicide drowning, announced recipients of the Ireland Medal and the award process, and discussed about the future activities.
