GLSA Lifesaving Sport Museum at ILSE Seminar
Athens, Greece 16/03/2024. Dr Stathis Avramidis presented the virtual Lifesaving Sport Museum of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association to the delegates of the Commission Meetings of the International Life Saving Federation of Europe during the Best Practice Seminar.
The museum was created by Dr Avramidis and the GLSA Head of Education, John Dimakopoulos.
The virtual
tour included the GLSA programs, publications and projects, collaborations,
honorary members and supporters, memorable Greek and international
personalities, athletes with podium performances and landmark events.
The virtual
museum may act as a free means of promotion and education. It may host and
triumph the achievements of ILS/ILSE people that have been honored at the
Lifesaving Hall of Fame and used as online material that will instruct children
about the history and the achievements in the lifesaving field. The
presentation was accepted positively for its innovative nature. Experts from
several countries expressed interest in knowing how to access and use this
technology. Photos: GLSA.
