to the Belgian
Lifesaving Federation
Belgium 15.11.2024. The Greek Lifesaving Sports Association presented the Organization of the Year Award to the Belgian Lifesaving Federation for outstanding contributions to the advancement of lifesaving sport.
The award was received on behalf of the Belgian Lifesaving Federation by the Secretary-General Luc Van den Broeck and the Co-Chairman Karel Logghe, who commented: “On behalf of the Belgian Rescue Federation, we feel very honored to receive the Organization of the Year Award 2024. This recognition is not only a testament to our hard work in organizing the European Lifesaving Championships in Belgium, but also a celebration of the dedication and passion we have as lifesavers. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all participants, volunteers and partners who contributed to the success of this championship. We also owe special thanks to our sponsors and supporters, without whom this championship would not have been possible. This award inspires us to continue our sustainable efforts. Thank you again for this incredible honor. Let's continue to make a difference together.”
The GLSA President, Dr Stathis Avramidis, said: “The Belgian Lifesaving Federation is a small federation that strives to empower other small national organisations excel and contribute to the work of the advanced nations. Thanks to their orchestration of the ELC 2023 and kind support, Greece experienced one of its finest moments in the history of lifesaving sport, earning 4 medals and gaining momentum for future progress. It is our pleasure to honor this organization with our highest recognition.”
