Safe Greece: BLS at Poros Military Training Centre
Poros, Greece 30/11/2025. The
Greek Lifesaving Sports Association (GLSA) trained over 800 navy cadets on
basic life support at the Poros Training Centre.
Leading instructor was the
GLSA Head of Volunteers, Efraim Chalkias, who was assisted by GLSA Members (Stathis
Avramidis, Dimitris Diavatis, Nefeli Asargiotaki, George Taxiarchis Pachos, Andreas
Sorensen Zervos, Vasilis Andreadakis).
The training was well received
and highly commented by cadets and officers. Some of the comments, were: “Thank
you for this well organized and informative lesson.” “We learned a lot about
first aid and wish to further our education.” “It was one of the most enjoyable
and nice courses we had within our stay at this Centre.”
The cadets were trained on
adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation, defibrillation, recovery position and
action for chocking. It took place as part of the project “Safe Greece” that is
