“Safe Greece” in Xeniasto Melissi Camp (1)
Sounion, Greece summer 2025. The summer camp “Xeniasto
Melissi” welcomed the “Safe Greece” that is implemented by the Greek
Lifesaving Sports Association (GLSA) with the support of the
Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation (PCMF) and the
secondary support of the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF) as part of
its spiritual mission “Every Child A Swimmer”. The GLSA volunteers trained
thousands of children and camp councilors water safety, lifesaving sport, water rescues, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and simulated emergency rescues. All
participants had a vivid and pleasant experience. The Head of Xeniasto
Melissi summer camp, Mr. Leonidas Kargakos, praised the project and thanked the
