GLSA Female Athlete of the Year -
Memorial Award "Panagiotis Nastos"
The
GLSA Female Athlete of the Year Memorial Award is presented to the male
adult sport lifesaver that has excelled in the below categories: (1)
Won the most medals in international,overseas and national competitions
within a year. The award is presented annually at the end of the
calendar
year. The award is named after the pioneer Greek Panagiotis Nastos, who
established the Piraeus Swimming School around 1900 A.D., teaching
swimming, rowing to students of all age groups and genders, including
women, in an era in which this was prohibited. Nastos is a modest
precursor of Greek lifesaving sport.
- 2020: Kalypso Economidou (2th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 9th BULSCA; 2 golds, 1 silver, Greek Cup).
- 2021: Athina Makraki & Katerina Machou (3 golds Greek Cup).
- 2022: Kalypso Economidou (2 golds, 2 silvers Greek Cup).
