Dear President Stathis, on behalf of the International Olympic Academy Participants Association, I bring you greetings and congratulations on your upcoming International Expert Symposium on Lifesaving as Olympic Sport. Safe activity in watersport is an issue particularly close to me given my association with the sport of rowing in Canada and I applaud you for organizing this important initiative to further discuss importance of lifesaving as a means for combatting the public health problem of drowning.
As you may know, the main focus of the International Olympic Academy Participants Association (IOAPA) is to foster an international and multicultural Olympic fellowship of lOA past participants, as well as provide tools and resources to facilitate Olympic education and support Olympism worldwide.

We are supportive of educational initiatives that further the connection of sport, Olympic ideals and impact on people’s daily lives and as such we are pleased to support your symposium taking place in May 2023. As such we do grant you permission to use our logo in printed and electronic media to assist in promotion of the event. Through our IOA Liaison Dimitrios Regalos, we will also provide you with a one-minute video salutation for your opening ceremony as well as allocating an individual from our organization to participate at your round table event.
