Congratulations to the organizers of the International Symposium on Lifesaving as Olympic Sport. As an aquatics Olympian I understand very well the value of a humanitarian sports. Sport is beneficial for life. But even more, lifesaving sport saves lives literally. Drowning prevention through sport is an innovative concept. The inclusion of lifesaving in the Olympic Games certainly deserves our attention.
