“Safe, Pick, Run”: Results
Volos, Greece 5-15.05.2025. The project “Safe, Pick, Run” was orchestrated by the GLSA and the CNBA with the support of the European Union, and helped the participants to develop the crucial soft skills such of teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Participants were pushed beyond their comfort zones, fostering personal growth and self-confidence.
Results
1. Enhanced Environmental Awareness: The participants developed a thorough understanding of environmental challenges and recognised the significance of sustainable living. They learned about waste management and the effects of human actions on natural ecosystems.
2. Improved Physical Health and Lifesaving Skills: Engagement in physical and lifesaving sports activities boosted the participants' physical fitness and imparted crucial lifesaving skills like first aid, CPR, and water safety techniques.
4. Increased Community Engagement: The project generated a robust sense of social responsibility in participants, motivating them to take active roles in their communities to tackle environmental issues and enhance public safety.
5. Soft Skills Development: The participants bolstered essential soft skills, including teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
6. Creation of Environmental Advocacy Content: Digital media content was produced by participants to widen awareness on environmental matters and motivate the public towards sustainable actions.
