Preventing Youth Gambling (day 3)

 

Nis, Serbia 21.08.2025. The training of the Erasmus+ project "Reverse the Odds" ended with the listening and reviewing of the podcasts and the certificate presentation.

 

Introduction

The project runs between 2024-2026, among 4 organizations; Germany (Verbund sozial-kultureller Migrantenvereine Dortmund e.V.) as a coordinator and Lithuania (PSA), Serbia (City of Nis Debate Club), and Greece (Greek Lifesaving Sports Association) as partners. Each organization contributes expertise in youth work, training, or addiction prevention. This project addresses the increasingly problem of youth engagement in online gambling and its associated risks. The significant rise in access to online casinos, sports betting, and other gambling activities in recent years, especially via mobile apps, poses a serious threat to the emotional, financial, and social well-being of young people.

 

Results

The third training day included a review with constructive feedback on the created podcasts that will be used in the digital campaign and the certificate presentation. The atmosphere was uplifted by educational and inspirational stories and appraisal among the participants. Follow updates with the hashtag: #ReverseTheOdds
