“Eagle’s Rebirth” Officially Selected by the
Los Angeles, 17 July 2026. The Greek documentary Eagle’s Rebirth, directed by Dr. Stathis Avramidis, has been officially selected by the Los Angeles Movie & Music Video Awards 2026.
The film presents the true story of Pantelis Avramidis, who overcame cancer and severe physical adversity before taking up competitive lifesaving in his eighties and becoming a European and World Masters Lifesaving Champion.
This new selection continues the documentary’s international festival journey. It had previously received an Official Selection at the Hollywood International Indie Film & Screenplay Awards.
Eagle’s Rebirth is written, directed and produced by Dr. Stathis Avramidis, with narration by Joe Geoffrey.
Using painterly imagery and the symbolic figure of the eagle, the documentary explores resilience, renewal and the belief that it is never too late to begin again. Some films tell stories. Eagle’s Rebirth reminds us that the greatest victories are not always won in stadiums, but within the human spirit.
