GLSA Organization of the Year Award
The GLSA Organization of the Year Award is the highest team honor of the Greek Lifesaving Sports Association. It is presented annually to an organization that has demonstrated outstanding contributions to lifesaving sport, applied lifeguarding, aquatics and water safety.
2020: School of Sports Science and Physical Education, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Citation: "for the preservation and the promotion of lifesaving sport in higher education as means of drowning prevention in Greece." The award was presented to the Dean Prof. Nikos Geladas.
2021: Haitian Federation of Aquatic Sports and Rescue. Citation: "Το the Haitian Federation of Aquatic Sports and Rescue for the contributions of Haiti and the heroic sacrifice of their ancestors to the 1821 independence war in Greece." The award will be presented to the FHSA President Evenel Mervelus.
2020: British Universities Lifesaving Club's Association. Citation: "Το the British Universities Lifesaving Clubs' Association for outstanding contributions in advancing Greek lifesaving sport in Greece." The award was presented to the BULSCA President Ben Barker.
2023: Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. Citation: "For outstanding achievements and contributions that enhanced water safety, swimming and sports benefiting 1 million people in 43 countries." The award was presented to the PCMF General Manager, Mr. Pascal Granero (more).
